Local ministry background:
Drahoslava grew up in the family of a pastor. Both her parents were great examples to her – they not only talked openly about their faith, but also lived it practically. Yet, as she grew up, she sought her own way, thinking she was missing out. Eventually she reached rock bottom – the life she had chosen was not worth living. Before it was all over, she decided to make a desperate attempt to try one more time with God and honestly give her whole life to Him. And God confessed to it and still does to these days.
She belongs to the Baptist church. Here she served in youth leadership for a long time. She is currently in the worship team.

Drahoslava has been involved in the Healthy Youth ministry since 2010. She offers HY programs of non-profit Christian organizations such as Ethical and Character Education, or National Initiative for Life. She also offers programs from the series ‘Comenius for Life’ and ‘Spiritual Heritage’. Alternatively, she is ready to respond flexibly to specific requests from schools and prepare a ‘tailor-made’ HY program.

In connection with the HY programs at schools, Drahoslava offers pupils and students individual interviews either in person or online. She also helps prepare and actively participates in summer camps for youth. For those who are interested, she prepares Alpha Club meetings throughout the year where she and the participants work on finding answers to basic life questions.

More about programs

How she became a HY Worker:
In the beginning, Drahoslava perceived a strong calling from God to serve the younger generation. Even after so many years, she openly says that she still finds her work as a HY worker fulfilling and enjoyable. She sees God’s blessing in it. Not only by faith, but also through the feedback of the pupils and the students, she knows that her ministry has a great and positive meaning for the lives of young people.

Drahoslava says, “My goal is to reach the young generation in schools through the HY programs. These are designed to help children lay a moral foundation for their daily decision-making. I expect pupils and students to reflect on themselves, on their value system. I guide them to self-respect, respect for parents and elders, and prevention of risky behavior. I aspire to be a light to them.”
